Admissions Overview
The Graduate School receives approximately 2,500 applications and admits approximately 250 new students annually.  Admission decisions are made by faculty committees within our various departments.  Official notification of admission is sent by letter from the Associate Dean of the Graduate School.

The Graduate School also offers several dual degree options in cooperation with:

the Lynch School of Education
the Carroll School of Management
the Law School
the Graduate School of Social Work

For high achieving BC undergraduates wishing to pursue an accelerated graduate degree, the Graduate School offers the 5th year Master of Arts and Master of Science programs in certain departments.

Applicants who have applied to the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences at Boston College in previous years must resubmit all application materials.
